Sidewalk paint

This has become one of our favorite summer time activities! The girls love it because 1- it's messy. And 2- they get to be pretty much naked while they paint. Which is a few of their favorite things! They painted some pretty cute things, including themselves!
They had a nice cool bath right after this.. It was 113 degrees outside when I took these pictures. Yuck. AddiLyn kept saying "my bum bum burnt" haha

love how Addi is holding my hand. I didn't even realize it at the time. I'm glad I got it in the picture! She's  always doing cute things like that.
My girls are so fun!

A fun camping failure

So on Memorial Day weekend we packed up our house, food and tent and tried to go camping. I say tried because we were not very successful. It being a holiday weekend made for some packed campgrounds, there was no room for us, anywhere!
We didn't think about reserving a camping spot ahead of time unfortunately. But we made the best of it and hiked all weekend and had a bbq and roasted marshmallows over our camping stove at the park. And then hung out with uncle Eric and aunt Rachel that Monday. It ended up being a perfect weekend. Here are some pictures of our cool hikes!
Here are some at Red Reef Trail:

And the next day we went to Kanarraville Falls, which was absolutely breathtaking and SO fun. We hiked through water most of the 5 miles. I was worried a little about how the girls would handle it but they handled it like champs! They splashed through 3 miles of bone chilling water like it was the best thing that had ever happened to them. I beamed with pride a little when we were passing all these moms and dads carrying their big boys through the stream because they wouldn't get in while my tiny girls were just loving the cold water! They surprise me more and more every day.
I wish I took more pictures, but here's what I got!

Me and my 3 baby girls! (See how low my pregnant belly is?? It's insane. But hey, at least I can breathe.) The canyon got cold so both girls were shivering by the time we got out.

AddiLyn konked out on this rock on the way back. Ryan set her down for a little break and all of the sudden she was catching some ZZZ's. Tired little thing.
But YES, Kannarraville falls, probably the most fun hike I've ever been on. About 5 miles and doable with a pregnant belly and kids (if they're okay with getting a little soggy and muddy) and so beautiful. Definitely worth missing a camping trip for.

And this has nothing to do with hiking but here's my 6 month shot, side view, since that front view earlier was a little horrendous. I'm loving this pregnancy though. I'm so excited to meet our 3rd baby girl!!

Family time is the best time

I'm blessed with an awesome huge family full of colorful, fun, interesting personalities. Everytime I'm with them I feel like I gain a new perspective on life.
They came to visit for a week this spring and it was such a fun time! We kept so busy exploring the hikes and nearby areas with them. I can't wait until they come back so I can show them more! Here are some pictures from their visit here! I didn't get very many.. I've become bad at taking pictures, but good at living in the moment! So I guess that's a win for me, lose for the blog! Oh well, here's what I got.

Visiting the temple grounds, right after we went to John Hamblins house and Brigham Youngs home. Cool stuff!

We spent a couple days in Snow Canyon.

Zions! Love that place.

Petroglyphs! We also went on bike rides, hiked Dixie rock, and stayed home and baked with my sisters while Ryan played video games with my brothers and dad. It made my heart happy.

And then, just like that, they were gone. And we were so sad, especially the girls. They were absolutely crazy about Amy and Hannah being around 24/7 to play with them all the time. I barely saw either of them at all that week to be honest, they kept so busy. As much as I tried to prepare Emma for the fact that they had to leave, she was not emotionally prepared for the departure. She stood at the window all sad saying "Mom I keep waiting and waiting, but they aren't coming back!"AddiLyn was upset because Emma was upset. She gets like that sometimes. So we went out and got ice cream and went to the park. It healed their tiny broken hearts and we are so excited for the family to come back someday!

Random fun

So I don't know if I even have any more blog readers... I have been so bad at updating! I absolutely love going back and looking at all the fun we've had and how much my kids have grown. So here are some fun things we've been up to lately.

Bowling with babies! They did so good. I did awful. My poor team was dragged down by me..

Emmas took dance class the last 3 months. So so cute! I loved watching her dance and get ready for the recital. She did so good during the recital too. So proud of this girl.

We went to kanab for a St Patrick's day festival. The girls ran in a little race. It was such a fun little get away back in March. So fun!

Fun faces from fun girls!

St Patrick's day and Easter 2016

St Patricks Day was so fun this year. We did the same thing we did last year (new tradition perhaps?) except the only difference is little Addi is old enough and mobile enough to participate! Double the fun! The girls woke up to a scavenger hunt that let to chocolate of course..Chocolate for breakfast. YOLO. Then we did crafts, that involved green glitter and paint. SO messy but so fun. Followed by green play dough later on.

Easter was simple this year. The girls woke up and found their baskets, they had to wait to eat the candy until after church. This is the first year we did baskets. It was kind of fun! After church we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a family get together and an Easter egg hunt. The Monday before we had an FHE where we made books about Jesus being resurrected, I feel like Emma has learned a lot about Jesus over the last little while. She has hit that age where soaks in information like a sponge and remembers everything. Anyways, here are some pictures of the day.

Holidays with kiddos is the best!
