23 weeks

How far along? 23 weeks and 5 days
Gender? Girl!
Total weight gain? At the doctors office I was weighed and I found out I've only gained 9 lbs total. I'm super happy with that. ( last time I gained almost 50 lbs so this time around I'm doing a lot better.) My doctor was extremely impressed I made it through thanksgiving and Christmas and only gained 2 lbs throughout it all. I was pretty suprised myself.
Maternity clothes? Yep!
Stretch marks? No new ones.
Sleep? I sleep pretty good
Best moment this week? My birthday :)
Missing anything? Outdoorsy stuff. I would love to get some cross country skiing in.
Movement: oh yes. She's a wiggle worm. Especially after I workout, she wants to keep working out after I'm done.
Food cravings? Pomegranates. Asparagus. Peanut butter.
Anything making you queasy or nauseous? Sugary stuff... Too bad I love it so much
Symptoms: baby moving, bigger stomach, get full really fast
Mood: happy but emotional. If I read or see anything remotely sad I bawl, if I lose my temper with Emma and make her sad I bawl, if I had a rough day I bawl. But I'm happy! Haha. I really am. I just have a hard time keeping back those ridiculous tears.
Looking Forward to: Ryan's birthday on Saturday! :)

Her "baby button"

She just about the only one who thinks I'm funny around here.

Comparing our bumps ;)

Happy birthday to ME!

So this year I actually decided to enjoy my birthday and let Ryan do some things for me.
Usually, I refuse a cake or special dinner or anything like that.. I don't enjoy being the center of attention and with Ryan's birthday so close to mine we have cake and ice cream and go out to eat that week anyways.
But this year I thought I might as well indulge :)
The day was a normal day, I took Emma to the park, and just did my thing.
Ryan came home from work and made me a nice dinner, steamed asparagus and golden rod eggs, just like I requested. He thought it was a little weird that I would choose that out of anything possible. But it's what I wanted so he was more than willing to accommodate a simple, healthy dinner :)

I asked for an ice cream cake, I totally thought Ryan would buy one from DQ but he ended up making one!

It was delicious. There's still over half of it in our freezer! There was so much goodness to it we couldn't take in much. It was super good though. I've been on this no sugar way of life, so all this cake and ice cream kind of made me a little nauseous and dizzy. But it was so worth it. :) I also ate ice cream for lunch. Because I wanted to.

Then we played with Emma and after she was in bed we snuggled on the couch and watched the Office.

Nothing too spectacular. Just a simple day with the people I love, just the way I like it. :)

22 weeks

How far along? 22 weeks
Gender? Girl!
Total weight gain? I haven't checked since last time,.. I'm avoiding the scale
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? No
Sleep?  I wake up a lot through the night and then again around 6 exauhsted but can't go back to sleep. So weird.
Best moment this week? We put a contract down on a house! It's a teeny house but it's cozy and will work for our family for now :)
Missing anything? My parents. My sisters. Friends. Skiing and snowboarding. Outdoors.
Movement: shes moved up a lot so she kicks me in the diaphragm every once in a while.
Food cravings? Ice cream.
Anything making you queasy or nauseous? Watching my brother in law eat the cooked ribs of a wild pig... And hearing people eat.
Symptoms: pinched nerve in my right leg, my hips go numb when I lay down, and I've had some ligament pain. I feel like I've gotten a lot bigger all if the sudden, even though I've been eating healthy and working out. Tiny has definitely had a growth spurt. Which is great!
Mood: a little on the emotional, overly sensitive side
Looking Forward to: Ryan not having to work late, bed time

That's my "I hate selfies for my dumb blog" face.

2014 comes in with a bang

Well some big changes have occurred for our little family.
First off, after a 3 1/2 years of sharing a car, we finally got a second car! Ryan picked it out and I'll be the one driving it around. It has great gas mileage and it's really quick! We named it Clairyse.

I love Clairyse!

Secondly, we've started the process of buying our first home. It's smaller than I was hoping for But we just weren't having Much luck with bigger houses ( we kept being outbid and we just don't have much leverage at this point) so we've settled for this one. I'll be the first to admit that I don't love it. But I like it a lot, it's super cute and definitely suits our needs for now. I'm excited to get to work on it and make it our own!

Thirdly, EmmaLee is so cute! Like always.

"Peek a booooo! I in dher!"

(Watching a movie before bedtime. She obviously wasn't ready to put on her Jammies yet)

I think it would be quite ungrateful to say anything but how blessed we've been this year.

Sometimes I feel like life is going too well, and I can't help but wonder what I've done to deserve this life of mine. I sometimes feel like I was dropped in the middle of something that is way too good to be true and that one day I'm going to wake up and it's all going to be gone.
I also sometimes feel like something horrible is going to happen, because of the good things that have been happening.
But I'm begining to realize that that is satans way of getting to me. Making me doubt my blessings and myself.
I find it's important to be grateful for all we have and continue to have faith in The Lord and believe in ourselves and just continue to take each day a step at a time.

21 weeks

How far along? 21 weeks and 3 days
Gender? GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Total weight gain? 10 lbs
Maternity clothes? You better believe it!
Stretch marks? Nope!
Sleep? Great!!
Best moment this week? Seeing our sweet second baby girl!!!! It was so precious seeing her move around, suck on her knuckles, and wiggle her little feet around. She was so busy squirming around, the ultrasound tech couldn't measure a few things so I get to go back and see her again in a few weeks! Ryan said he felt the spirit seeing this tiny baby girl sent from heaven getting ready to see us. It was such a special appointment. She is currently under a pound still. So small.
Missing anything? Going on walks, running :)
Movement: A lot! Today she's been a little more still than usual but it's probably because she's been going non-stop for the last week!
Food cravings? Pomegranates. Their so delicious and Emma loves them too, we eat one a day! They make the best snack ever.
Anything making you queasy or nauseous? No.
Symptoms: my stomach is getting bigger and rounder, that's about all that I've noticed this week.
Mood: so good :)
Looking Forward to: finding out if we get this house we bid on! We've had the worst luck with getting a house, I will be so happy if we get this one!!

20 weeks

HALFWAY DONE!! Well technically, more than half way done. Tomorrow I'll be 21 weeks. I'm a little late on this post. But I figure no one is really reading these things and it's for my own benefit so it doesn't really matter when I get it done, it just matters that I do it :)

How far along? 20 weeks and 6 days
Gender? We find out in less than 48 hours!!
Total weight gain? Im not sure at the moment
Maternity clothes? Aw yeah.
Stretch marks? No new ones yet!
Sleep? Overall, really great. I've got some allergies that have been giving me problems but as far as pregnancy goes it hasn't affected my ability to sleep at all.
Best moment this week? Last week was Christmas, it was amazing. I got to talk to me sweet brother over skype. New Years
 Eve and New Years party!
Missing anything? My baby girl. She's in bed fast asleep and all I want to do is go in there and snuggle her. You'd think I get enough of her during the day but the fact is I could love on that girl every second for the rest of my life.
Movement: oh yeah! Little tiny is dancing up a storm in there everyday! It's been very consistent every day for the past week. Ryan can even feel Tinys little kicks and jumps when he puts his hand on my tummy. He felt Tiny for the first time on New Years!
Food cravings? Corn dog. I haven't given into to that one though, hot dogs disturb me. I've also craved protein smoothies. I had my first one during this pregnancy for dinner tonight... It was chocolate peanut butter flavored and It was delicious.
Anything making you queasy or nauseous? Nope! Absolutely no nausea here, thank the sweet heaven above.
Symptoms: my hair is falling out.. I don't know if that's a symptom or what. But it fell out a lot first trimester (I started going bald in some places, it was that bad) and it's doing it pretty bad again. So weird. My hair was thick and luscious by this time when I was pregnant with Emma so I don't know what's going on! I swear I'm going to wake up one morning and look in the mirror and see bald E.T looking back at me instead of myself.
Mood: so good. The break has been good for me! Having Ryan home and enjoying the holiday. I'm refreshed and ready to take on the new year!
Looking Forward to: finding out the gender of Tiny on Monday!!!!!!! I can't wait!! I'm so excited!!!!

This picture cracks me up.. ;)
