21 months and spreading her wings

So I didn't have Emma's 18 months stats  on here.

Due to insurance issues we weren't able to have her 18 month check up and shots so we had to wait until now to get that done. So the poor thing got all her 18 month and 2 year shots done all at once. She was such a trooper though, barely cried at all, smiled and socialized with the doctors and nurses even after her shots.

She's made huge improvements the last few months socially.
She used to be the most clingy, shy baby I've ever known. If people would even look at her she'd start crying and clinging onto me for dear life. She was so scared of other people, I never understood why.

Around  the time she turned 19 months she completely turned around and has blossomed into a little social butterfly.

The care takers at the gym I go to even say she's a completely different child. Before she would sit in the corner and just watch the other kids play, not allowing anyone to touch her. Now all of the sudden she's running around with the  other kids, playing with them and the toys, socializing with the adults, participating in every activity and even helping out with the younger babies.

She absolutely loves nursery.

She doesn't act any different at home, she's never been overly clingy when it's just us. And nothing has changed in how I've been parenting her.

She has simply grown out of her shy stage and is spreading her cute little wings :)
Anyways, here are some stats:

Height: 33 inches (75%)
Weight: 27 lbs (75%)

Physical capabilities: she's a little busy body. She can run, jump, roll, somersault, skip, climb ( she thinks she's a big kid and can climb on the big kid playgrounds at the park. She climbs up the super tall ladders like its nothing. But it scares me to death and I've had to catch her from falling a few times)
She still loves to eat. I always thought toddlers hated eating but not my girl. I usually have to put a limit on the things and amounts she eats because she'll just keep eating, and she will eat anything. Especially of it has ketchup on it. So we eat lots of fruits and veggies and smoothies at our house :)
She's still got her cute little arm rolls and chubby baby cheeks, the fact that she's almost 2 is a little weird to me, she still seems like a baby to me.
Mental capabilities: As far as words go, she can say almost anything you ask her to say. She can't say her "r" or "l" very well yet but other then that she's really good at speaking. She's even starting to put words together and create phrases. Her favorite right now is " (insert name) poopy/peepee bum bum!" And then she laughs. :) she definitely has a sense of humor.
She loves watching curious George.
She knows her colors.
She knows a few letters of the alphabet.
She can stack things easily, her fine motor skills are developing really well. She likes to color and draw.
She loves helping me cook and clean.
She throws tantrums like any other normal kid.

She has always been and continues to be one of the very best blessings in our life. I love her so much. The amount of love I have for her is overwhelming. I'm so glad Heavenly Father sent me this sweet little girl who I can raise to become a happy, healthy woman who lives up to her divine potential that The Lord has in store for her. And she in turn has helped me to become the person I need to be, and will continue to do so.

Valentines Day

I used to hate valentines day to be honest. I was one of those people. I thought it was stupid and completely worthless, mostly because I didn't ever have a boyfriend. Which was good and my choice for the most part. But it always made for a boring and slightly depressing valentines day.
BUT! Having Ryan in my life has changed it all up.
I woke up valentines day morning to my sweety and Emma making waffles topped with strawberries and cream. There was also a dozen roses for me on the table with a food processor I've been wanting for years. Then next to it was a single rose, a tiny fuzzy teddy bear with a balloon attached to it, Emma's gift from her sweet dad. She loved it and carried her balloon and bear around the rest of the day saying " Oh! Boon, bear. Daddy!" That was definitely my favorite part of the day.
Later on when Ryan returned home from work we had a yummy chicken dinner and I made a red velvet cheesecake, and it was excellent. :)
After Emma went to bed Ryan and I snuggled down on the couch and watched a chick flick.

It was wonderful, spending the day celebrating love with the people I love most.

Emma's gift :)

My sweet girl, and A sneak peek of the yucky linoleum we'll be ripping up pretty soon and replacing with tile.

Cheese! So flattering of us both, I know.

Valentines day selfie. I especially love the toilet in the background, it really adds to the effect.

Baking velvety goodness.

Yep. She even had to nap with her boon and bear.

Yes, that layer in the middle is indeed a cheesecake layer. Cream cheese frosting topped it off. It was basically a heart attack on a plate but it was amazing regardless.

27 weeks, helloooo 3rd trimester!!

How far along? 27 weeks and 3 days!! Hellooooo third trimester!
Gender? Girl!
Total weight gain? 13 lbs
Maternity clothes? Yoga pants or maternity jeans and a t shirt. Or gym clothes.
Stretch marks? No new ones. My belly is starting to itch though so I'm sure their getting ready to make their grand appearance
Sleep? A lot better, except for the nights I have forever long nightmares about worldwide disease outbreaks and not being able to find Emma anywhere, and then there was one that Emma and I were "kidnapped" by a bunch of Russians... I blame the Olympics for that one.
Best moment this week? Finding out my family is going to drive up here and stay with us for a week in June!!!!! Yay!!!!!!! Also, Picking out furniture and finally feeling organized and clean. We got the carpets re-cleaned and I've done some heavy duty deep cleaning for a week and a half now and I finally feel like the house is clean. Unfortunately, my list of things to do is forever long and still growing..
Missing anything? Hmm..no. Wait, I do kinda miss my 6 pack. yep that's it. ;)
Movement: she hasn't been extremely active the last couple days, but she gets hiccups a lot. And she moves if I poke her.
Food cravings? Not much of anything this week. I craved chocolate chip cookies and milk a little yesterday but it didn't last long enough for me to exert the energy to make them.
Anything making you queasy or nauseous? I cleaned the windows and it was literally nauseating how disgusting they were!!! Ugh. It's like the people who lived here before had never cleaned the windows within the 8 years of living here. Gross.
Symptoms: itchy stomach, slight ligament pain, tired.
Mood: good! Ryan's been getting home a little earlier than usual which is nice.
And I love getting tons done, being able to work out and spending time with my girl and that's about all I've done this week.
Looking Forward to: Going to bed :) today was a long day.

Here are some other pictures for this week!
She loves spending time "ousside"

Drass! Dirt!
Yep. I adore this little munchkin.

We got this little toddler playground for super cheap and Emma loves it! She spends so much time climbing up and sliding down.

Love her.

24 - 26 weeks

How far along? 26 weeks and 4 days
Gender? Girl :)
Total weight gain? 4 lbs the last 4 weeks, sooo... 13 lbs total. And I'm totally okay with that.
Maternity clothes? Mostly sweats and big t shirts this week, unless I go into town!
Stretch marks? Nope just the old ones
Sleep? Sleeping in a house instead of an apartment is weird, these last few nights I haven't slept well but it's just because I hear weird noises that I don't know and get up to check on Emma a few times a night, at night I'm a little paranoid I guess.
Best moment this week? Finally getting all moved in and working on making this place a home. A couple weeks ago I had an ultrasound and the baby is so cute! Her side profile looks like a little Disney princess :)
Missing anything? No
Movement: in the mornings and around 9 at night is when she is most active, I love those times.
Food cravings? The sugar tooth has struck, and won't leave me alone.
Anything making you queasy or nauseous? The smell of humidity, even if it's not that strong. Yuck.
Symptoms: bigger belly. Super hungry all of the time. I eat a snack every 3 hours to keep that under control. Emma feels the need to eat every 3 hours too so we go through lots of apples, grapes, carrots, eggs, berries and steamed veggies in a week. It's expensive eating like this! But id rather spend a little extra money on healthy food than eat cheap crackers and bread all day.
Mood: pretty good. I get stressed out easier than normal though. And I've had my share of emotional breakdowns throughout the move but I think I've stabilized a little bit :)
Looking Forward to: Getting all unpacked! Working on my projects. Getting furniture.
This is me pregnant with Emma at 24 weeks and me pregnant with #2 at 24 weeks. No polyhydramnios this time!! So I'm a little smaller. Woo hoo!!!

25 weeks

Pregnancy gym selfie... Der her.

26 weeks

My little Disney princess

New homeowners!!

Well friends, we've finally found a home and moved! It's in an awesome location, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and suits our needs really well at this time. I'm in the process of unpacking and can't wait to get it done so I can start decorating and work on the tons of projects I have in mind!
Packing up and moving was hard. Emma hated it. I hated it. Ryan hated it. But we got through!
She didn't want me to put things in the box, so she would climb in them. She would say "in da boxsss" as she climbed in. So cute.
Procrastinating. Reading books while she sat on my "ba!" (Lap) next to the heater. Our favorite activity. She could do this all day.
I French braided her hair for the first time! This was the day grandma johnson saved the day by picking up Emma and playing with her for the day so we could actually get some things done. Life saver!!!
I was Packing up the bathroom and realized Emma wasn't pestering me so I ran into the living room to find miss simba on pride rock...

So yeah. Toddlers and packing don't mix!

Despite the little difficulties with packing and cleaning we were able to move in fairly quickly! Woo!!

Right now I have this cleaning bug. Nothing can look, smell or feel clean enough. My hands are dried and withered from all the scrubbing and cleaning they've done the last few days. Pregnancy just kind of does that to me.

Cleaned the windows and window sills, this rag was white before.. This was just after ONE window!!!! Gross!!!!!

Our cat is having a hard time adjusting, she wanders around meowing all day and all night... I told Ryan the other day if she doesn't cut it out I might have to get rid of her for the the sake of my sanity.. But unfortunately that'd be like cutting off Emma's left foot, those two are seriously inseparable, I could never even imagine doing something like that so... she stays. Hopefully she calms down!!

Emmas room is across the house from the kitchen and so when Ryan gets up for work she stays asleep! She's been sleeping in past 9! That's a bonus for this momma! Tia's in the garage at night so she can't be our alarm clock at 7 in the morning so that's nice too. We love having a backyard, it's been wonderful. All around, we love the new place and I can't wait to give it my own personal touch. Before and after pictures will be involved :)

Ryan's beautiful house warming gift to me. I am in love with orchids and he got me such a beautiful one. Oh I love that man. He's a keeper and he's all mine! I love it :)
